2Tend your network. You will need countless favors on the journey.
3Give before you ask. Favors come back.
4When you introduce yourself, lead with one short line people remember and tie to you whenever the topic comes up.
5At an event: three names in, three real conversations out.
6Be where the deciders are, not where the free coffee is.
7No pitch at the bar. Person first, business second.
8Follow up within 48 hours, personally, referencing the conversation.
